As a Principal Lecturer I strongly value the impact that training can provide to our industry. I offer 1:1 or group training opportunities. Commonly, I am engaged to help groups at the beginning of specific tasks as a part of focussed on site education. Some examples of the training include:

• Pre plant bud selection training

• Pruning and  training for growing systems such as Central Leader, Espalier and UFO 

• Irrigation management and scheduling – developing a schedule with the staff for irrigation systems

• Annual plans – what to do and when

• Annual professional development for staff  and also developing professional development plans for staff

• Seminars for specific crops such as cherries

• Developing spray programmes that work
